Course Aims:  The aim of this course is to cover the basic principles involved in underground locating including an overview of the types of problems encountered and how to solve them.
Course Content This course covers the following;

  • The basic principles of electronic pipe location
  • The operation and use of inductive and conductive pipe locators
  • Interpretation of plans and records
  • An understanding of the operation and use of non-metallic pipe locators
  • Basic maintenance of equipment
  • Safe working conditions and requirements relating to handling of tools and equipment
  • Correct mapping of the area to be covered, saving both time and money
