At Total Construction Training, we love supporting our local community, which is why we are a sponsor for Wallop Boxing Club in Redditch.
On Saturday 4th October, Wallop went head-to-head with One Nation ABC in a versus showdown, and we’re pleased to say the amazing fighters of Wallop took the belt and won!
With over 250 spectators, the night saw 15 fights take place, 11 of which were scoring fights and four skill bouts. Out of those, Wallop won eight of 11 scoring bouts to win the overall trophy.

One fight saw Wallop’s Joe Masters battle One Nation’s Dylan Ravenscroft, with Ravenscroft taking victory after a close fight.
Another boxing match saw Kai Masters of Wallop knock out his opponent in the second round, and fighter Liam Penton also claimed victory in his bout. Impressing everyone was Harry Coello, who fought against a boxer with three times as many fights! These impressive feats and wins just go to show the quality of training and dedication these Redditch fighters have.
Carl Dickens, Wallop’s director and lead coach, commented:
“It was a really successful show, it’s the best I’ve ever seen, from the skills bouts all the way through to the seniors, all of the fighters boxed their heart out and were a credit to the gym. All of our fighters listened, took every command on board and developed really well. […] We’re progressing all the time and our coaching methods are getting better, with some boxers having their first fights.
“I want to thank our coaches, Ryan Owen and Brandon Burford, who put a lot of hard work into making the show the success it was.”
Wallop Boxing Club has more home shows in the new year, and until then, they’re preparing hard with training and progression. All of us at Total Construction Training are immensely proud of the club winning the event, and we all look forward to the next set of competitions in the coming months.
