The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides a single skills card for the Plant Sector of the Construction and allied industries. Total Construction Training provides Plant Operator Training courses for CPCS across the UK. CPCS was launched in 2003 and since then over 280,000 cards have been issued across 60 categories of plant and related occupations. One of the schemes main successes is the CPCS Technical Test, delivered by CPCS Testers working through CPCS Test Centres. The Technical Test ensures independent assessment of an individuals operating ability and their underpinning knowledge on entry to the scheme. CPCS is recognised by the UK Contractors Group (UKCG) and Major House Builders Group as the preferred card to comply with codes of practice for competence and certification. Total Construction Training has access to CPCS Test centres nationwide offering CPCS Technical Tests in all the categories of plant covered by the CPCS scheme. We can also offer the NVQ assessments required to move from Red Trained Operator Card to Blue Competent Operators card.
